Visit the library’s tent on third Saturdays through the fall to shop for used books (all ages) and pick up information aout library happenings.

Bring your favorite project: yarn, stitching, diamond art, scrapbooking, your choice—or—take a stab at the project of the month offered by library staff. Regular projects include book sculptures and knitting lessons. Bring a friend and share social time and fellowship around the coffee station. Climate-permitting, we will spill into Judy’s Garden.

Traveling Art Hive

Do you like art and crafts? Looking for community? Free event? Come join the traveling art hive!

What is an art hive? An art hive is a community art studio that welcomes everyone as an artist. An Art Hive is about inclusion, respect, and learning. It is a welcoming place to make art and build community, responding in creative ways to things that matter. (arthives.org

Supplies are provided. You choose how you’d like to work with them. Everyone is welcome, artists and non artists alike, all ages. Hope to see you there!

Wildlife Program: Bats!

Spend an evening learning about the different species of bat inhabitants in our area. We will take a deep dive into myths and truths of this animal and discuss its cultural importance to different groups around the world. Learn about conservation efforts and discover ways in which you can participate in the Appalachian Bat Count program. This program will be presented by the Pennsylvania Game Commission.
