Pick up a craft kit for at-home learning and entertainment. Each kit contains instructions and supplies to make an item to occupy hands and delight imaginations. Dozens of families across the community will be participating in the same project! Books & Barkers

For ages 5–12. Dogs LOVE to be read to and they are very good listeners. Take time to build literacy skills, confidence, and patience with a therapy dog at the library.
Family Place™ Play and Learn

McBride is proud to be a Family Place Library™. Parent-Child Play and Learn Workshops offer a five-week program to parents and their newborn–3-year-old children featuring weekly themes:
- Early Literacy
- Speech, Hearing, & Language Development
- Early Child Development
- Nutrition
- Music & Movement
The Community Room is set up as a hands-on playroom! A community experts will be on hand every week to share information about the vast resources available to families in our area.
Wildlife Program: Rodents!

Spend an evening learning about the different rodent inhabitants in our area. We will take a deep dive into myths and truths of this animal family and discuss its importance. This program will be presented by the Pennsylvania Game Commission.
